Myrtle L. Perry, 83, of Rittman, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Summa Barberton Hospital.
She was born Feb. 13, 1929 in Kenova, WV to Andrew and Cora (Hall) Brickey and lived most of her life in Rittman.
She married her first husband, Gilmer Clagg, on January 16, 1952 and second husband, James Perry on February 13, 1983.
Myrtle worked for the former Ohio Match Co. and was a homemaker. She attended Rittman Community Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling and cooking. She will be deeply missed by her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are daughters, Brenda (Tony) Walker of Marshallville and Linda (Jesse) Thompson of Rittman; grandchildren, Lindsay Walker, Destiny (Craig) Palcic and Kirk Thompson; great grandchild, Andy Thompson; sister, Mary Porter of Huntington, WV; brother, Luther (Lynda) Tucker of Doylestown; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Gilmer Clagg; second husband, James Perry; and brothers, Carl, Roy, Hayden and Arthur Brickey.
Services will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman with Rev. John W. Castle officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 A.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
